The Inaugurated Kingdom

Before the Holy Spirit moved powerfully in the book of Acts, Jesus spent forty days teaching His disciples about the kingdom of God. In this message, we explore how Jesus inaugurated the kingdom at His first coming and why His words, “The kingdom of God is in your midst,” point to the King standing among them. In essence, Jesus was declaring that the kingdom had arrived in Him. Jesus embodied the kingdom in person—its righteousness, justice, glory, peace, joy, healing, and freedom. Through His life, miracles, cross, resurrection, ascension, and enthronement, He gave us a preview of the world to come and secured decisive victory over sin, Satan, and death.
