The abiding life is not about trying harder, striving more, or producing spiritual fruit through self-effort. Jesus taught that we bear fruit by abiding in Him—living from our union with Christ through prayerful dependence, communion, obedience, awareness of His indwelling presence, and responsiveness to the Holy Spirit. God designed us to live spirit-first, with the soul and body submitted to the life of Christ within us. Because the Holy Spirit dwells in you, you are not spiritually poor, powerless, empty, or without guidance. Christ lives in you as the treasure of glory, guidance, and power. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in your born-again spirit, giving you access to His presence, wisdom, creativity, resurrection life, and power to become all God has called you to be.
