Kingdom formation is the lifelong work of the indwelling Spirit, bringing every part of our inner and outward lives under the reign of Jesus Christ. Before Jesus establishes His throne openly over the nations, He desires to establish His throne within our hearts, forming His Lamb-like character in us and preparing us to represent Him now and reign with Him in the age to come. This message explores how sin is fundamentally self-rule and how salvation transfers us from the kingdom of darkness into life under a new King. We enter God’s kingdom through saving faith—a faith that includes repentance, surrender, and poverty of spirit—and then spend a lifetime learning practical submission to Christ. Surrender changes the ownership of our lives; kingdom formation progressively brings every “room” under His loving government.
