Arise and Build- Part 6

Since the beginning of the year, we have been studying the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi to learn biblical principles for building God’s house and strengthening the local church. These books describe a season of rebuilding after delay and discouragement, showing how God restores His people by reestablishing right foundations, correcting priorities, and calling them back to obedience and spiritual alignment. As we apply these principles today, we believe the Lord is bringing our church into a season of reset and alignment, just as was prophesied several years ago. One key principle we are focusing on is giving God our best on the Lord’s Day. In Haggai’s time, the people neglected God’s house because they were preoccupied with their own lives and responsibilities. Jesus warned of the same danger when people allowed legitimate concerns—work, possessions, and family—to keep them from responding to God’s invitation. Scripture calls us to put God and His kingdom first, honoring Him with our time, attention, and devotion. When our priorities are aligned with Him, His presence and blessing follow.
